St John's Wort Oil

St. John’s wort oil.
Oh beautiful St. John’s wort, how I love you! I harvested these plants on the summer solstice when the Hypericin present in the flowers is at its peak. St John’s Wort is said to be an extension of the sun, so this oil is like slathering sunshine all over your body. The flowering tops were infused in organic olive oil for two moons to create a potent herbal oil.
There is so much folklore involving St. John’s wort and has been traditionally used to support the healing of wounds, bruises, burns, blisters, cuts, eczema, growing pains, inflamed skin, muscle pain, nerve pain, neck tension, spasms, back pain, neuralgia, sciatica, insomnia, anxiety, and stress. Very supportive to children, babies, pregnant, postpartum and menopausal women.
I personally love to use this oil on my ears, neck and feet before bed to calm my nervous system for a peaceful night. Its also the first thing I reach for with any muscle aches, and it always soothes my womb when I’m bleeding when I massage into my lower belly. Such a beautiful ally to bring in the sunshine and warmth into our being in the darker winter months, particularly those who are affected by S.A.D. There are so many beautiful qualities to St. John’s wort and this is the plant with the most clinical research done, so I encourage you to do your research on this magickal plant being.
I’ve been truly blessed with an abundant harvest this year and have made lots of beautiful oil to share and send out into the world, I feel this sunshine medicine is much needed at this time.
